Ebates

Have you ever used ebates?

I have seen several people on message boards that I visit that use them and say they get great discounts and coupons from them. Ebates says you can actually get from 5 to 25% off of purchases at over 800 stores - including Target, Circuit City, Office Depot, and Barnes and Nobles.

That doesn't sound too bad to me. They even say they have a new charitable giving program that they've recently released.

If you've tried them I'd love to hear about it! Let me know what you think, and, if you don't mind tell me on average how much you save with them.

Thanks a bunch!

Happy Thanksgiving

It's a little late, but I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Or a great weekend, if you aren't a US reader.

I had a great time with my husband and the puppies.

We even managed to get the Christmas tree up and decorated while we were off, so that was a lot of fun.

It's going to be amazing to spend Christmas together (for the first time!) in our new house.

Dani Johnson update

Well, after I recomended Dani Johnson's training calls, she went and upgraded her site, and I can't create a new account, or log into the old account.

Isn't that a huge disappointment.

I've tried a couple of times in the past week or so, and I'm still having trouble, but hopefully everything will be resolved soon.

What to buy the babies?

Now that gift giving season is almost here I'm having trouble deciding what to buy the babies...after all their parents say that they don't need any more toys, and it's so hard to decide which size clothes they'll wear...so what do you get?

The Nest Baby Shop looks like a good place to buy baby gifts if you've got some discretionary income.

In addition to offering baby shower gifts and thank you cards, they offer gifts for babies, siblings, and moms, they also offer free personalization on some items.

Doesn't that sound great?

Dani Johnson Training Calls

Dani Johnson has some great free training calls that will help you build your business.

She has live calls that you can call in for, and she also has the training call vault, which allows you to listen to calls that have taken place in the past.

I've heard from a lot of people that these calls, and the resources that Dani provides have been instrumental in making their business a success.

I hope they help you.

Veteran's Day

Happy Veteran's Day!

Thanks to all the Veterans, and their families!

I hope you have a great day.

There are about 3 craft shows in town that I want to go to, and I have to cook my Amish Friendship Bread, so I'll be pretty busy.

DH is going deer hunting, which I'm not all that excited about, so we'll see what happens with that.

So do you have any plans?

Leave a comment and let me know.

Looking for Christmas Gifts?

If you're having trouble finding a nice Christmas - or holiday gift for that hard to buy for person why not try a gift basket?

Gift baskets from gourmetgiftbaskets.com offer one thing everybody has to have...food! So they make perfect Christmas Gifts.

If you're looking for a unique, high-quality present that makes a great gift for friends, family, colleagues, or business partners, then you're in luck.

If you want that extra special touch, you can even call them and have them create a basket to your specifications.

Now that's what I call great service.

I'm gonna do it.

I've decided to go ahead and work the Botanically Swiss Skin Care and Nutrition business I signed up for a couple of months ago.

I'm a little nervous, but I'm excited.

So far I like the products I've tried, and my mother in law likes the ones she's tried, so even though she had me sign up so she could get the 35% discount, I think I'm going to try to do it to get more money!

I went to a presentation last night, and everything seems really good.

The main thing that worried me is that it seemed like a pyramid you go out and get 4 people who are "business builders" and want to build their business, and then they go out and get 4 people...

But they said they aren't a pyramid because anyone can pass anyone at anytime.

Anyways, if you want more information you can visit this presentation.

Let me know if you have any questions, or if you'd like to know more.

Panic!

Have you ever just seen something in your email and completely paniced?

I just looked in my inbox and saw a message that said "Review Your Recent Purchases at Amazon.com," and my heart started pounding.

I stopped what I was doing (deleting all the emails I wasn't going to read) and immediately clicked on the email.

After all...I hadn't purchased anything from Amazon in months...so if I'd recently purchased something someone had hacked into my account, and my credit card.

I opened the mail...and saw

Write a review of your recent purchase.

Whew, what a relief.

My recent purchase was the iRobot Roomba 4210 Discovery Floorvac Robotic Vacuum..

I love it!

I could be vacuuming and typing to you at the same time.

And I hate vacuuming.

It's so nice not to have to lug the vacuum up the stairs, and push it back and forth.

I do have to clean out the brushes a lot (I have really long hair and 3 dogs), but that's pretty easy, and I'd rather spend 5 minutes doing that than an hour vacuuming.

Did I say I love it?

Severe Weather Plans?

Do you have a plan for what to do in the case of severe weather?

I know everyone always says you should, but I don't yet.

If you really want to make sure that you are covered in the case of any weather emergency you can include a saferoom as part of yoursevere weather safety plan.

Family safe builds the finest saferooms, tornado shelters and storm shelters, and serves the entire United States.

They also concentrate on building shelters that will protect you and your family from the storm, as opposed to building shelters at the lowest price possible.

Of course if a saferoom isn't in your severe weather safety plans, you definitely need to consider what you will do in a weather emergency, to ensure that you and your family are protected.

Changes...

In case you haven't noticed, I've decided to make this more of a stream of consciousness blog, with business tips and resources thrown in.

It's a little too hard to only talk about one thing, and I've got my other business resource blog - Free and Low Cost Business Resources already, so I don't want to end up posting about the same thing on each blog.

Thanks for sticking with me through all of the changes.

It's greatly appreciated.

Sarah

Tell us about your business?

Hi, I was just wondering what company you're with?

I'd love to know.

Feel free to leave a comment and let us know who you're with, and how long you've been with them - give a little introduction about yourself.

Direct sales and other businesses are fine - this isn't just a direct sales blog.

I'm an equal opportunity blogger!

Fancy Scrubs

Man, I wish I'd known about scrubsgallery.com when I was searching for nursing scrubs.

Even though I was not a nurse, I did have to wear scrubs to several jobs, and let me tell you most of them are not flattering.

The site has thousands of in stock scrubs, and you can choose the type, style, color and fabric of your scrubs.

I love the flared pants :-)

Plus, if you're short or oddly shaped like me, all of their products have a 30 day money back guarantee, in case you get something that doesn't fit, or that you don't like.

Need more bookings?

I know it can be hard to get people to open up their homes to you and have a party.

After all they're busy, and they don't have time to clean their house, or they don't want to impose on their friends.

Or they just don't want to worry about the stress of having tons of people over.

Here's a list of 83 ways to get bookings, plus several more ideas about how to get bookings.

You may have to tweak these ideas a little so that they will fit your company, but I think most of them should work for all companies!

Happy Booking!

Sarah

The dogs are revolting

Oh my goodness, the dogs are revolting!

I tried to get them to go outside, and Scooby, Scrappy, and Hunter just looked at the door like I was crazy!

Scooby and Scrappy wouldn't even come within two feet of the door.

It's not that cold, but it's windy, and it's a biting kind of cold.

They are so silly!

Sarah

Alas, Disney World

One of the bad things about leaving Georgia is that those occasional weekend vacations to Disney World aren't gonna happen anymore...at least not without a lot of effort.

Of course when we were trying to find tickets for our Disney World trip it was a pain to try to find a place to purchase the cheapest tickets, at the best price, from a reputable company.

Fortunately you can buy Disney Tickets from Orlandofuntickets.com, without worrying too much, since they are licensed and bonded in the state of Florida.

Whether you are looking for tickets to Disney World and all Orlando theme parks, dinner shows and attractions Orlandofuntickets.com has what you're looking for, and they guarantee the lowest prices!

You can't beat that!
